!!!
Saint Malo:
We played a bit on the beach and the ramparts.
Pointe du Hoc:
Jane created a game in the bomb craters. You race in and out of each crater and then label it by difficulty (black diamond, blue square or green circle). D-Day didn't register, but I don't blame her.
Caen:
William the Conqueror's home base for a while. Who doesn't love a moat.
Bayeux:
Even Jane enjoyed viewing the Bayeux Tapestry. It's a comic strip after all, and the free audioguide is fast-paced. Horace probably knew everything about the Battle of Hastings already. He's reading a brochure for a nearby train park here.
Not sure what W. the C. is doing here. Scolding Harold? Bad Norman hairdo.
Isigny-le-Buat:
We stayed in a simple chateau in Normandy for a few nights. Jane ate a dozen pain au chocolat on this trip, missing her stated goal of twenty.
We miss Audrey. Paris recap to follow.
