16 Going on 17

We're going to avoid Leavenworth again if we can help it. It's a pain. The locals working the stores and restaurants are crabby because of the crowds, like Parisians in lederhosen.

Every "attraction" is attached to a for-profit (unlike at Disneyland, say). But Jane is game.

Caught a nice moment with a flailing skier at Mission Ridge. Horace was too sick to ski. Jane continues to vanquish obstacles. She could be nicer though. Anyway, we continue to be grateful for all the snow. Our more sophisticated European counterparts have shown us their barren Dolomites and the mere pittances of artificial snow from Kitzbuhel to Chamonix. No amount of fondue can compensate.
