Winter Break 2021

Again, in backwards chronological order.

It seemed a lot easier to ski at Crystal's elevation than at Steamboat's. We were happy with the cold, pristine conditions at our home mountain.

Aunt Anna cameo!

Happy birthday, Captain McCullough!

The Yampa Valley is special as is the state of Colorado. We were starved for light and space after an especially dark November in the Pacific Northwest, and Steamboat delivered.

We were worried about the lack of snow, but several well-timed storms meant plenty of open terrain for us Steamboat newbies. We even got a powder day to play among the aspens.

Taking a break at about 9,000 ft. Huff and puff.

Vitamin D.

Uncle Kenny hogging the chocolate chip cookies!

A day of rest at Strawberry Park Hot Springs. Jane and Horace braved the cold creek dip several times. I did it just once, and it felt painful then amazing.

Alaska Air continues to be the best. Thank you for the upgrades so that I could join my terrible children who were somehow assigned first class seats.
