We marveled over the balance beam routines at Saturday's UW gymnastics meet. It's even more impressive in person, especially because most of these gymnasts have actually undergone puberty.
UW's athletic events feature an ambitious balloon sculptor: Brian of American Amusement. He takes forever because of the complexity of his work. We probably spent more time in the balloon line than inside the arena.
Horace participated in his first science fair. His results were statistically significant: it IS hard to make a bottle float like a submarine. He refused to present his findings to the audience, but he had fun playing with the robots some other kindergartners brought in for their air quote science project.
