But first we indulged in some rare (for the Northwest) French country-style at the Bloedel Reserve. Horace and Jane said that walking through the Reserve was the most boring thing ever.
So back to being grubmuffins doomed to live in a Craftsman. Twanoh State Park is on the Great Bend of the Hood Canal. The saltwater was warm.
Oysters were plentiful. We cooked them on the camp stove; you can calm down now. They were incredible the way only freshfreshfresh seafood can be, tasting like nothing but wonderfulness. No salt required.
We were surrounded by Russians or maybe Ukrainians, like hundreds of them. One statuesque young woman said this park reminded her husband of the Black Sea. So there were lots of naturally beautiful women sunning themselves, which is also a rare sight around our parts.
