Planes, Trains, Automobiles, Boats, Streetcars and a Hammock

The hammock at Schrempf's is always a hit.

Lake Union Park opened only in 2010. That's why there are so few trees. People rave about this park for the pond boat pool, the fountain and the nearby beach. I prefer foliage.

But let's banish Debbie Downer and her amanuensis Julie Jaundice*. Horace didn't want to get off the S.L.U.T., which is a problem because it only has five or so stops.

We had to watch the Indy 500. But of course.

The Guillots arranged a most wonderful BBQ in Woodland Park. The shelters there are huge and feature big sinks. Remember that, Seattle readers.

Horace borrowed (and borrowed and borrowed) Nicholas' train.

TankFest Northwest was merely OK. Most of the military fangrandpas wouldn't let children near their old combat vehicles.

I thought the British planes at the Flying Heritage Collection (yet another Paul Allen toybox), like this Avro Lancaster, were the best-looking.

*Do I use a comma here or not? That NY Times article about commas has made me anxious.
